Can you avoid Sales Tax by buying a gun online (i.e. Gun Broker)?

Is this correct? No extra tax or fees except for FFL transfer?

Lol
Any recommendations on a basic gun safe/locker that qualifies for the tax rebate?
Main Post:
I’m looking for a simple gun locker to hold 3 full size rifles and a few pistols, I don’t really want a full size gun safe that weighs 500 pounds. I am fine screwing a gun locker into a wall of my house to secure it, but want something that also qualifies for the va tax rebate.
I know I need to buy it from a local FFL to qualify for the rebate but here is an Amazon link to something I had in mind for reference:

Just remember that if a safe says it hold 4 rifles, its actually closer to 2 rifles. I am convinced they use basic 10/22's to measure the size of there safes.
do we need to pay tax for used gun from gunbroker?

Your ffl shouldn't have to collect it if it's a private sale. If it's from another dealer they do. You still technically have to pay use tax at the end of the year if your ffl doesn't assess it.

Good. He committed a crime so he can deal with the consequences now.
Do I need to carry my tax stamp and my gun trust with my SBR? Or can u just carry you stamp only? In my range bag?
Main Post:
I know I can also keep the files on my phone too

I don’t normally carry anything. It all stays locked in my safe. You’re more likely to get struck by lightning then you are to encounter an ATF agent checking stamps. In the off chance that you have lottery luck, you just need to be able to produce a stamp for the weapon, not necessarily on the spot.

Just wanted to do a follow-up on my first experience ordering from these folks. Their deal on the Thompson/Center Compass II has been posted several times now on the main sub and I had no issues with my order. I ordered one in 6.5 Creedmoor to serve as a backup hunting gun should anything go wrong with my grandpa's Savage 99 and I've been wanting to try that caliber since it seems to keep gaining popularity in recent years.
I ordered on Monday, September 14th using their text-a-check feature to get the gun for $284.99 with free shipping and no tax. Got shipping confirmation the next week and picked it up at my FFL on Friday the 25th. My FFL charges me $25 but I also submitted the rebate to smithandwessonrebates.com and received email confirmation a couple days ago that my $50 rebate has been approved.
All and all a great experience. Sure shipping wasn't instant but I've waited longer before from other sellers and I think we're all used to delayed shipping by now during this crisis. I bought a cheap Bushnell Banner 2 3-9x40 scope (extended eye relief model) and took it to the range this past weekend. Put 15 rounds through it and it works just fine. The bolt certainly isn't as smooth as the Ruger American I also shot over the weekend but I do like the trigger and minimal recoil. May still add a muzzle brake to the end since it's threaded and will have to research what would be a good choice since I've never bought one before.
